Week 3

I have just read an artilcle about bionic penguins. the article was about bionic penquins that were developed in Germany by Festo a engineering firm that last year unvieled a realistic robotic jelly fish. The hopes of the firm is to advance what robotics can do to help in the future. read more here.

SECOND LIFE

I have just researched second life for my CIS 120 class and found that it is a world created and managed by it's users. My teacher is very insistant that second life is not a game, I beg to differ because you are playing as someone who yo may noit be in the first place. You also can use your charecter to escape the realities of everyday life, so you are playing in a world that you create, hence my thoughts that second life is a game.

Week 2

The conficker virus, that has caused wide spread panic among millions of computer users worlwide, has been adapted by a four year old virus that Malware writers have used to use conficker in order to take advantage of Windows flaws. The Conficker virus was supposed to be unleashed on the 1st of April,when Conficker hype peaked, but it seemed to may have copied the Neeris virus. Some speculate that the virus' may try to out do each other for the sole ownership of the victims computer, or they may be collaborating. Read More Here

Introduction

I am currently taking CIS 120 to further my knowledge of computers and enable myself to efficiently and effectively navigate through the basic fundamentals of computing. I am very interested in the knowledge associated with and needed to run the basic operating systems of a computer.
